Henry Schein: Simplifying Benefits Communication Through Smart Visual Design

Project Overview

Henry Schein, a global healthcare solutions provider, partnered with WTW to streamline and modernize its internal benefits communication. I led the creative development of a visual system that turned complex information into a clear, accessible experience for team members across departments and locations.

The Challenge

Employee benefits communications often feel dense, impersonal, and hard to navigate—especially in a global organization like Henry Schein. The HR team needed a way to present benefits information that was clear, consistent, and engaging, while staying true to the company’s professional brand identity.

The Strategy

My design approach focused on clarity, hierarchy, and empathy. Working closely with content and strategy teams, I developed a flexible visual system using approachable colors, clean typography, and purposeful layouts. The goal was to make the experience of engaging with benefits materials feel intuitive, welcoming, and informative.

Creative Execution

Deliverables included:

  • Print Materials – Enrollment guides, flyers, and summary documents designed for readability and clarity

  • Digital Assets – Web banners, email templates, and HR portal graphics

  • Visual Framework – Modular templates that allowed for consistent messaging across touchpoints

  • Custom Iconography – Visual symbols to simplify and reinforce key benefit categories

  • Tone & Message Alignment – Worked with the writing team to ensure that tone, visuals, and messaging worked seamlessly together

Results & Impact

The new design system helped increase employee interaction with HR communications during the benefits enrollment period. The materials supported clearer decision-making and reduced confusion across the organization, earning strong feedback from the internal communications team.
